At the end of the day you get much more out of sh*tting yourself for an hour or two on some death pitch. Faffing in piece after piece trying to convince yourself they will hold, when you know damn well they won't. Finally you do the move that, a few moments ago was the hardest thing you ever saw, but that actually wouldn't even get a V grade. You get the slot and realise it’s not a jug. It's a sloper. And the back’s closed. No cam. Your heart goes again.
But you get on with it. Why? Because you’re a man (or woman). And because you don't have the luxury of dropping a few feet on to your pad. You keep going because you've got to.
And then where the rock ends, you have to climb 60ft of wet vertical grass. You look back down the line of your two ropes and 25 quickdraws. And you think f*ck me that was good!
And that moment lives with you for months.

At CLIMBLOX we know a bit about fear. That it’s a great motivator. That overcoming it is great for the soul. And, more importantly, that when the sh*t hits the fan, there’s nothing more comforting than chalking up past your wrist.
